The Information Center for Chemistry (ICC)running under the support of the Korean Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) provides chemical informations via INTERNET. The title of homepage "ChemWave" stands for "the wave of chemistry".
As this center provide substantial services to the membersips, MSDS, DB search, and BBS can be available to them only.
You can assign ID and password by yourself and complete a simple document required to be a membership.
Structure Of ChemWave:
Publication & Conferences
KCS(Korean Chemical Society)
Any question about Chemwave is welcome to email@example.com (042-821-6263/6245) anytime.
In the times of information overflow, it has been urgently required to supply well classified and processed informations to the people in the related areas. In the regards, Chemwave has been established as an Information Center for Chemistry at Chungnam National University with the support of KOSEF.
Up-to-date scientific information acquisition and supply
Development and share of chemical information among universities, industries, and institutes
Cooperation of researchers and joint use of reseach facilities
Joint research for the essential techniques of industry
Chemwave is operated inside the Research Institute of Material Chemistry at Chungnam National University. The major works of the center are gathering requsite chemical information, constructing data base, and providing processed information.
The information categories operated in the center:
Construction of internet system for information delivery
Construction of data base of domestic chemical and industrial information
Construction of data dase of oversea chemical information and processing data
Supplying related hardwares and softwares
Information delivery service from abroad or to
The center will practise the international role for chemical information, and useful information will be available through homepage, newsletter, Hitel, Chollian, etc. The center is open to everyone who needs chemical information and will be operated by membership.
Abstracts of new technology and development from worldwide publications are provided, classified into 7 fields such as biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, and etc..
Journals for Topics:
- Chemtech : U.S.A
- C&EN (Chemical and Engineering News) : U.S.A
- Chemistry & Industry : U.K
- Chemisty and Industry : JAPAN
- Physics Today : U.S.A
- Science : USA
- Nature : USA
IP(Information Provider) provide current research information in five specialized fields. They construct their own homepages as DB.
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Physical Chemistry
- Analytical Chemistry
Publication information is provided as categorized into three sections:
First section: Full abstracts of 64 most popular chemistry journals since 1996.
Second section: Abstracts from 150 journals sorted according to KOSEF classification.
Third section: Selected abstracts translated into Korean.
On-line service is available. You can fax the application form provided from the center.
